Welcome to the end of our 2022 Season!!!

I hope you all had a great and profitable Spring and Summer. Just a quick note to keep membership up to date on our industry and association.

There is a new law regarding spray heads- beginning in 2023, all spray bodies are to be pressure-regulated. There is still very little officially written as far as enforcement and regulation, but the law was passed in January 2022 as part of a water savings initiative. We’ll share more information as it becomes available.

Second, our association has been working hard to pass legislation that would make it mandatory to have a rain sensor installed when a house or property is sold. This should also save water and provide an additional revenue stream for our members. The Bill is slated for introduction this fall.

Third, for those members providing snow removal services, we are working with Kevin Gilbride from ASCA to try and get a bill passed to give more protection to the contractor.

Here is the New Jersey version of our Bill. It was Senate Bill 665 in 2018-2019. Stalled by a miscommunication.

ASCA is happy to extend the member rate to IANJ members who are interested in the Philadelphia Snow Academy. Simply register as an ASCA member and use IANJ as the code. Information on the event is in the link. NOTE: This event is TONIGHT! We apologize for the short notice, but still wanted to share it.
